Continuously Transposed Litz Wire Catalog — 52 Grades

Standard litz wire grades produced by Diada-Electro. Round and rectangular cross-sections, rated up to 200 °C, with a range of insulation types.

There are 52 standard grades. They differ on three axes: rated temperature (105, 155 or 200 °C), cross-section shape (round or rectangular) and insulation type (PTFE, polyimide, PET, Arselon, polypropylene). Pick the temperature class for your operating environment first, then the insulation for chemical or mechanical demands, then round or rectangular depending on how tightly you need to fill the winding window.

Every litz wire grade is built from copper conductors insulated with enamel (enamelled magnet wire). The grades we produce differ in temperature range, cross-section shape and insulation type. The products are manufactured to TU 27.32.11-019-59596873-2025. We fill orders of any size, including small batches.

We form litz wire into a rectangular cross-section (ЛитцПр grades) at any volume, including prototypes and small batches.

Selecting a litz wire grade by application

If you are new to transposed wire, start with the overview article "What is continuously transposed litz wire". For engineering selection along three axes (temperature, insulation, cross-section shape), see the in-depth article on choosing a grade with its five-step algorithm.

155

Up to 155 °C

Self-bonding enamelled wire. Protective jackets provide short-term protection up to 220–400 °C depending on the insulation type. 32 grades.

200

Up to 200 °C

Enamelled wire without self-bonding properties. The maximum operating temperature for continuous service. 18 grades.

FAQ — choosing a litz wire grade

What litz wire grades are there, and how do I choose one?

The catalog holds 52 standard grades. They split on three axes: rated temperature (105, 155 or 200 °C), cross-section shape (round or rectangular) and insulation type. Choose the temperature class for your operating environment first, then the insulation that matches your chemical and mechanical loads, then the cross-section shape. Round wire is the most flexible; rectangular wire fills the winding window about 20% tighter.

Which litz wire works at high temperature?

For continuous service the top class is 200 °C — 18 grades carry the "Литц 200" prefix. Protective jackets raise short-term limits further: PTFE holds 220–230 °C, polyimide 300–330 °C, and Arselon braid or serving protects up to 400 °C. For the hottest jobs use a combined grade such as Литц 200 кФхА (PTFE plus Arselon).

What is rectangular litz wire and when is it used?

Rectangular litz wire (the ЛитцПр grades) is formed into a flat profile instead of a round one. It packs into the winding window roughly 20% denser, which raises the copper fill factor and lets you wind more turns in the same space. We form any grade into a rectangular profile at any volume, including prototypes and small batches. The catalog includes 25 rectangular grades.

What insulation types are available for litz wire?

Insulation options are PTFE (Ф), polyimide (ПИ), PET (ПЭТ), Arselon (А), polypropylene (ПП) and extruded polyethylene or polyurethane. PTFE and Arselon are served or braided; some grades combine them (кФоА, кФхА). Every conductor underneath the jacket is enamelled magnet wire, so the enamel sets the base temperature class and the jacket adds chemical, mechanical or thermal protection.

What is the difference between PTFE and polyimide litz wire?

PTFE (grades with Ф) gives chemical resistance and a short-term limit of 220–230 °C. Polyimide (grades with ПИ) gives higher mechanical strength and a short-term limit of 300–330 °C. Pick PTFE for aggressive media and moisture, polyimide for abrasion and mechanical stress at higher temperature.

Can you make a grade that is not in the catalog?

Yes. The 52 grades are standard, but we produce custom insulation and profiles to specification, including extruded polyethylene and polyurethane, in any quantity from prototypes to production batches. Products are manufactured to TU 27.32.11-019-59596873-2025.
